Introduction
There are countless FBA books, but none that focus on Amazon’s website. This blog aims to fill that gap.
My other issues with current FBA books is that they invariably make claims such as,“How I made $90,000 in 90 days” etc. This may or may not be true. But i wouldn’t advise quitting your day job.Start small, enjoy the process and hopefully in time you’ll reap the rewards.
Everyday I’m learning new things and Amazon FBA is moveable feast. As Bill Gates once said,“Evolve or die.”If i’ve missed anything or made any mistakes, please get in touch.
FBA stands for fulfiled by Amazon-in ither words,They take a cut and yiu get access to their customers and prime delivery.
What is FBA?
Amazon doesn’t publish its UK prime membership number, bht in the USA, as of 30 June 2017 ,63% of all its customers have joined prime(that’s up from 47% last year). And Prime members spend more-over double what non-prime customers spend. This wrap-around service has proved very popular and extremely sticky – renewal rates are close to 100%.At just £79 a year for next day delivery it’s a compelling offer. Plus it’s recruiting customers young:Amazon Student offers free access to Prime for six months.
Amazon Prime Offers its UK coustomers a huge range of Benefits including
- Unlimited one day Delivery on millions of items.
- Prime Video.
- Unlimited photo storage on Prime Photos.
- Access to the Kindle Lending Library where coustomers can choose from 600,000 titles.
- Access to ‘Prime Day’ shopping discounts.
In research conducted by Amazon.co.uk,85% of sellers who had switched to FBA reported a sales increase, and 53% reported a sales uplift of over 20% or more.Selling via FBA also gives you access to the Buy Box – i.e.you become automatic seller if the coustomer clicks on the main “Add to Basket”button. This is vital if you’re one of a number of sellers selling the same product.
FBA allows you to soemd your time on what’s important:product design branding and finance. You don’t have to worry about being hacked or setting up payment systems. There is no more traipsing to tge Post Office or worrying about being away when an order needs to be fulfilled. This gives you freedom too-you can run your FBA operation from anywhere in the world. All you need is access to the internet.
Also, thanks to the introduction of pan – Europeon FBA, Sellers can sell their goods online in Europe.Amazonhas unified its Eurpeon marketplaces, meaning sellers can have access to several marketplaces, including Amazon.co.uk,Amazon.fr,Amazon.it and Amazon.es.
But there are downsides too-you Amazon has strict rules and procedures to follow. If you don’t adhere to these, yiur products could be refused or delisted.
